PR or Public Relations

To be in PR you need to wear a designer roll neck sweater, drink fair trade lattes and talk with a plum in your throat. Oh, how we laugh. The simplicities of PR are too often overlooked by those in PR. It is basically a simple process of communicating yourself and your products or services with the public. It differs from advertising as it is generally directly cost free and involves producing news articles that are of public interest. In the case of magazine PR it would involve producing an article that would be published because of its general interest to the readership.
